Big Cove is supporting The CARE Center
in its mission for Christmas again this year!

The CARE Center is setting up a Christmas shop where clients (distressed families) can shop for toys for their children. The shoppers will be able to participate starting the first week of December. They plan to serve about 100 children this year at their Christmas store with the bulk of the ages being between 7 and 15.


Your Mission and Outreach team is asking the congregation to donate toys for these families.

please bring your items to the church. The last day to donate is Sunday, November 30.



Shopping list CARE Center Christmas Shop

Only 1/3 of our neighbors who shop at CARE center Christmas shop will be shopping for toddlers through young elementary age and 2/3 will be shopping for middle school and high school age



Toddlers and young children (18 months to 5 years old)

Simple wooden puzzles, baby Legos, Blokkos, Fisher price little people activities and accessories, baby dolls all races, small board books, blocks, push trucks, busy boards, see-n-say, T-ball set, Lincoln logs, hopper ball to sit on with handle, Games ( classic suggestions- there are other new games out there as well) Candy Land, Charades for Kids, Go Fish and card games, Don’t Spill the Beans, Chutes and Ladders, Alphabet Bingo, HI Ho Cherry-O etc. ( some of these games tie over into elementary age students)



Elementary age (6 to 10)

Fishing rods and tackle box and tackle, Basketball, soccer ball, football, Jewelry kits, painting kits, Barbie dolls or Disney Dolls, matchbox cars or Hot wheels and accessories, craft kits, Pokémon cards, pogo stick, skateboard, outdoor games, stilts, skip balls, remote controlled vehicles ( with batteries) click and play police or firefighter dolls, 200 to 300 piece puzzles, explorer kits, Chapter books, and kids cookbook, Games (classic suggestions- there are other new games out there as well)- Clue, Monopoly junior, Connect 4, Game of life Junior, Junior charades etc. , hair ties and bows, sensory toys to relieve stress, craft kits,



Middle and High school age (11-18)

Grow your own kits- (flowers, herbs, cacti) Fishing rod, tackle box and tackle, Basketball, soccer ball, football Skateboard, helmet, pads, Fidget finger toys, nail painting kit, simple natural makeup sets and bag, outdoor sports sets- frisbee, toss across, badminton, , basketball, football, soccer ball, friendship bracelet making kit, painting kits, (klutz books- paper airplanes and many more) bath bomb kits, science kits- Nat Geo and others, Nat Geo. explorer kits, Preteen and teen chapter books, remote control vehicle or helicopter, Coloring books for older kids with colored pencils, yoga mat and book, Teen cookbook, origami kits, Toiletry kits with grooming sets for young teen boys and girls, Games- games labeled age 10 and up.
